Annual Meeting is set for Thursday, February 21, 2019

All Credit Union members are invited to attend our Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 21, 2019, 6:30 PM at Y-12 Federal Credit Union's Training Facility at 2375 Cherahala Blvd, Knoxville.  The President / CEO and Chairman of the Board will provide updates on credit union operations and financials.

 

There are two vacancies on the Board of Directors to be filled, both of which are three-year terms.  Each year the Board of Directors appoints a Nominating Committee to review and nominate qualified candidates.  The Nominating Committee has nominated the following individuals to fill the open positions: Lloyd Jollay and Sam Pelchar. Also nominated is David Liles to serve the remaining term of Hilary Shreter. You may see their resumes below.
 

 

There will be no nominations from the floor, nor an election conducted by ballot at the Annual Meeting. 


Resumes:

Lloyd Jollay
Residence:    Anderson County
Profession:   Nuclear Nonproliferation/Nuclear Criticality Safety (27 years at Y-12/ETTP). Currently  the director of Nuclear Material Applications at Y-12. 
Background: Credit Union volunteer since 2005. Credit Union Services of East Tennessee (CUSET) since 2005 and current chair. Served on the Asset Liability and Supervisory committees. Served on Y-12 Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2013, currently Secretary of the Board.
Education:  B.S. Engineering Physics, University of Tennessee Knoxville
Masters of Business Administration, University of Tennessee.

Samuel T. Pelchar
Residence:  Anderson County
Profession: Consultant for companies doing business with DOE. Served various management positions in Westinghouse Electric Company - Nuclear and Environmental Businesses - numerous management functions including international finance, domestic finance, and acquisitions. Worked in CPA firm.
Background:  Volunteer 12 years at Y-12 Federal Credit Union; former member of Supervisory Committee; member and currently Chairman of Asset & Liability Committee; member of Trustee Committee; 5 years on Y-12 Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, currently serving as Treasurer.
Education and Training:  B.S. BA (Accounting) Clarion University, Clarion PA
MBA (Business Administration) University of Tampa, Tampa Florida and University of Pittsburg, Oakland, PA
MPM - Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, PA
Professional Certifications: Certificated Public Accountant

David Liles
Residence: Oak Ridge
Profession: Retired from Y-12 after 37 years in Accounting and Budget
Background: Credit Union volunteer since 2013. Served on Asset and Liability Management Committee and Supervisory Committee. Served on Y-12 Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2018.
Education: B.S. Business Administration (Accounting Major) University of Tennessee Knoxville


Any member 18 years or older who is in good standing and who has been a member for at least 3 months may be nominated by completing an application and obtaining signatures from 500 credit union members.
