Overdraft Protection

We got your back.
An overdraft occurs when there is not enough money in a checking account to cover a transaction. Courtesy Pay allows us to pay an item presented for payment against your checking account even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. We give members options when it comes to how we handle overdrafts.

Overdraft Transfer:

FEE-FREE!

This option links your checking account to a primary share account and/or an Access Line of Credit. It transfers available funds from the linked accounts in the order specified to cover an overdraft and includes all transaction types.

Courtesy Pay:

This overdraft privilege is automatically available to members with an eligible checking account. For each overdraft transaction presented, we pay the item rather than return to the merchant (up to the maximum limit).  Members have 30 calendar days to make a deposit to bring the account balance positive. Once the account balance is positive, the full Courtesy Pay limit is available to use again as needed. There is a Courtesy Pay Fee per item paid. Please see our Fee Schedule

Items covered include:

Checks
Automatic payments
Recurring debit card transactions
Bill pay transactions
In-person transactions

Courtesy Pay Plus:

Adding an extra flair to Courtesy Pay, this option allows us to authorize and pay debit card purchases and ATM withdrawals that would overdraw an account. Don't forget that members must opt-in to receive Courtesy Pay Plus. There is a Courtesy Pay Plus Fee per item paid. Please see our Fee Schedule.

Items covered include:

All items covered through Courtesy Pay
Everyday debit card transactions
ATM withdrawals

No Coverage:

Without coverage, no transactions are included. Members may elect to opt out of all Courtesy Pay coverage. This means that we will not authorize and pay any transactions that would overdraw the account. These transactions may be returned to the payee and will result in a $32 NSF fee. There may also be fees assessed by the payee who receives the returned item. If you wish to opt out of the Courtesy Pay Program or would like more information, please contact us.
